Juan De La Cosa's Map

On the next picture you can see the Juan De La Cosa's Map:

This map is the first map of the world which includes the american continent. This map was made in tyhe year 1550 in the "Puerto de Santa María", Spain. 

The Asian territory cames from the Geograpohia of Ptolomeo. The american coast had just been explored before 1500, but this is the first map which includes the American continent. It also include Cuba as an island, although Cristobal Colon though that Cuba was part of the American continent.

One error of De La Cosa's Map is the latitude, which includes an error of 11 degrees. This map also includes some pictures of different characters as kings or flags of the different kingdoms. Juan De La Cosa also travelled by the atlantic coast of the american continent. This map also includes information of other maps made before.
